Do you know your neighborhood and love talking to people? Health Advocates NY is hiring Community Outreach Canvassers (Field Advocates) in the Bronx, Brooklyn, Queens, and Manhattan to connect local families with programs and resources that make a real difference.
Pay: $20 – $25 per hour
What You’ll Do:
- Canvass neighborhoods, community events, local businesses, and high-traffic areas in your borough
- Start conversations with community members and share information about our programs and services
- Track daily outreach using a smartphone app
- Work toward daily outreach goals
What We’re Looking For:
- Comfortable walking and standing outdoors for extended periods in all weather
- Friendly, outgoing, and goal-driven
- Able to use a smartphone and basic apps
- Experience in canvassing, sales, promotions, retail, customer service, or community outreach is a plus, but not required
- Bilingual skills (Spanish, Bengali, Chinese, Haitian Creole, Russian, Arabic, or other languages) are a big plus
- Knowledge of your local community
