Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled POS Specialist with deep expertise in Oracle MICROS Simphony POS systems and extensive experience integrating with OPERA Property Management Systems (PMS). The ideal candidate will be responsible for the end-to-end management, configuration, and optimization of POS solutions across our hospitality operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, configure, and maintain Oracle Simphony POS systems, ensuring seamless integration with OPERA PMS and other enterprise applications.
- Lead the implementation of POS solutions, including hardware setup, menu configuration, pricing strategies, and workflow optimization.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure POS systems align with operational requirements and enhance guest experiences.
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement necessary updates or patches to maintain optimal functionality.
- Provide training and support to staff on POS system usage, ensuring adherence to best practices and operational standards.
- Develop and maintain documentation related to system configurations, integrations, and standard operating procedures.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Hospitality Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience working with Oracle Simphony POS systems, including integration with OPERA PMS.
- Proven track record of successful POS system implementations and integrations in a hospitality environment.
- Strong understanding of POS hardware components, network configurations, and system security protocols.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Effective communication skills, with the ability to train and support end-users across various departments.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certifications in Oracle Simphony POS and/or OPERA PMS.
- Experience with additional hospitality systems and third-party integrations
- Familiarity with reporting tools and data analytics related to POS systems.
