New York City Area – College Admissions Recruiter
Onondaga Community College (OCC) seeks an energetic and customer service-oriented individual to serve as its NYC area Admissions Recruiter to support the College’s enrollment efforts for its Syracuse, NY campus.
The College Admissions Recruiter is a proud member of the OCC Admissions & Recruitment Team and will assist the College in identifying and attracting prospective students from the NYC/Long Island area to attend its campus in Syracuse, NY. This position is responsible for planning, organizing, directing, and implementing all recruitment and outreach efforts and activities to prospective students, parents, families, secondary school counselors and the community.
The Admissions Recruiter will manage a territory consisting of high schools, community-based organizations and other special populations within the NYC metro area including the Bronx, Brooklyn, Manhattan, and Queens. This position will coordinate student visits to OCC’s campus and recruitment programs, including high school visit days, campus tours, college fairs, community events, open houses, job fairs and other opportunities designed to interact with and promote the College and its offerings to NYC/Long Island audiences.
The ideal candidate will live within a reasonable commute to the following counties: Bronx, Kings (Brooklyn), Nassau (Long Island), New York (Manhattan), Queens, Richmond (Staten Island) and Westchester. The Recruiter will communicate regularly with the Syracuse-based team and be required to travel to the OCC campus in Syracuse, NY as needed.
This is a full-time, 12-month position with an excellent benefit package and is part of the New York State retirement system. Salary range: $55,000 – $65,000.
Minimum Requirements of the position include an Associate Degree and a desire to help prospective students meet their educational goals. Preference will be given to English/Spanish bilingual candidates.
